Real Wedding - Kate + Dan

We loved working with the beautiful Kate on her wedding a few weeks ago up on the Terrace at the State Library of Queensland.  Kate used our "On the Day Coordination" service, which saw us helping with the management of suppliers and set up on the day of her wedding.

Kate is the artistic talent behind Vanilla Lily Cake Design so her eye for style and attention to detail was impeccable.  Kate enlisted the support of some of the best names in the industry to create her big day including...

the sweet, feminine florals of Green and Bloom Wedding Flowers, Darb Bridal Couture, The Powder Room and Summer Lily Photography.

Beautiful Beach Weddings styled the ceremony which was held at the Roma Street Parklands.

Ab Fab Catering created the menu for the evening.

Kate's cake (made by Kate by the way!) inspired by Faye Cahill included lace detailing and matched the pink, black and white decor. It featured magnolias, peonies, pink roses, daisies and a stunning silver layer...Enjoy!

Real Wedding Story - Chantelle + Nick

By now you have most probably seen our high school sweethearts Chantelle + Nick's picnic style engagement shoot that we posted about on Facebook a few days ago so today we are finally giving you the visual feast from their wedding day.

We first met Chantelle back in September of last year to talk about her ideas, inspirations and dreams for her big day. Chantelle came to us seeking help with pulling all of her ideas into a collective concept and on the day co-ordination. Chantelle had already chosen her colour palette of teal and gold with visions of lots of brightly coloured seasonal flowers and a vintage handmade style but she was finding it hard to individualise this theme from the already saturated vintage look.

Being the very creative person that Chantelle is, it was very important to her to be hands on with a few DIY wedding projects as well as being able to incorporate the wealth of creative talent that surrounded her within her circle of close family and friends for all those personal, special and traditional touches.  We toyed around with different inspirations such as a whimsical secret garden wedding but in the end it was the venue itself that inspired the eventual design.

The Historic Rivermill abundant with colonial period furnishings and machinery was the perfect backdrop for a country chic wedding.  After many weekends of terrible weather leading up to Chantelle + Nick's wedding day the skies cleared to reveal perfect weather for such a gorgeous couple and their wonderful families.

We had the pleasure of meeting a strong contingent of Chantelle + Nick's immediate family and close friends the day before the wedding and I can't tell you how much fun we all had together, there was so much love, laughter and support for this special couple that I literally went home that night buzzing with happiness.

Congratulations Chantelle + Nick we wish you all the very best for your future together.  It was an absolute pleasure to help bring your dream wedding to life and we'd also like to thank you as it is couples such as yourself which make it all worthwhile.

Real Wedding - Sarah + Dmitri

This was a very special Wedding. Sarah + Dmitri got married in the magnificent Greek Orthodox Church, followed by pre-drinks at the Laneway Bar then onto Moda for a night of great spanish food, wine, laughter and lots of love! The radiant Bride wore a vintage inspired DARB gown. Simple rustic touches were used to compliment MODA's courtyard and a spanish flamenco guitarist sat in the corner and serenaded the crowd all night with his soft romantic tunes. A magical night for a very special couple. Big thank you to Dan O'Day for the stunning images.

What an entrance! Moda is the perfect setting for a romantic wedding reception.

This rustic seating chart was such a fantastic feature.

The simple but oh so enchanting centrepieces.

The 100% gorgeous bonbonniere.

Soft romantic light + scattered moss = magical.

The guests were serenaded by flamenco guitarist, Gerard.

Javier worked his culinary magic and produced this amazing feast.

We love this photo! You can see the Bride's expression to the groom's heart felt speech on the mirrored window panel.

And they lived happily ever after...
