Real Wedding - Katrina + Chris

We loved working with Katrina and Chris on their wedding, such a fun loving couple. It was pure wedding day bliss, with the stunning summer sun shining over the beautiful Botanical Gardens for a simply elegant Garden Ceremony on the day that was, the day before New Years Eve.

The vibrant Bride and Groom opted to meet up before their Garden Ceremony for an informal strole and a casual drink with their stunning wedding party to relish in the moment.

It was the dream garden wedding, with only close family and friends invited to the ceremony under a cosy fig tree in the Botanical Gardens giving it a very intimate feeling.

Stewart Ross took some incredible fun-loving photos which captured the true feeling of the day.

It was time to party come the reception, with the rest of their friends awaiting their arrival ready to congratulate this joyful couple.

Restaurant II set the stage for the reception with the help from Bouquet Boutique, Epic Empire and Amini Concepts to create such an elegant and modern setting to complete an unbelievable day.

The fun began as the reception's photo booth opened, as all the guests were raring to show their love, laughter and appreciation of Katrina and Chris with some incredibly memorable photos.

A day filled with sunshine, laughter, love, support and a glowing bride and groom. You couldn't have wished for a better day to be getting married. What a day to remember!

Real Wedding Story - Chantelle + Nick

By now you have most probably seen our high school sweethearts Chantelle + Nick's picnic style engagement shoot that we posted about on Facebook a few days ago so today we are finally giving you the visual feast from their wedding day.

We first met Chantelle back in September of last year to talk about her ideas, inspirations and dreams for her big day. Chantelle came to us seeking help with pulling all of her ideas into a collective concept and on the day co-ordination. Chantelle had already chosen her colour palette of teal and gold with visions of lots of brightly coloured seasonal flowers and a vintage handmade style but she was finding it hard to individualise this theme from the already saturated vintage look.

Being the very creative person that Chantelle is, it was very important to her to be hands on with a few DIY wedding projects as well as being able to incorporate the wealth of creative talent that surrounded her within her circle of close family and friends for all those personal, special and traditional touches.  We toyed around with different inspirations such as a whimsical secret garden wedding but in the end it was the venue itself that inspired the eventual design.

The Historic Rivermill abundant with colonial period furnishings and machinery was the perfect backdrop for a country chic wedding.  After many weekends of terrible weather leading up to Chantelle + Nick's wedding day the skies cleared to reveal perfect weather for such a gorgeous couple and their wonderful families.

We had the pleasure of meeting a strong contingent of Chantelle + Nick's immediate family and close friends the day before the wedding and I can't tell you how much fun we all had together, there was so much love, laughter and support for this special couple that I literally went home that night buzzing with happiness.

Congratulations Chantelle + Nick we wish you all the very best for your future together.  It was an absolute pleasure to help bring your dream wedding to life and we'd also like to thank you as it is couples such as yourself which make it all worthwhile.

Real Wedding - Mel + Dave

I love this vintage inspired wedding I coordinated last year.

Mel, the beautiful Bride styled the wedding herself. From the colourful balloon bouquets, retro school chairs, playful bunting, heart shaped cushions to the fun games at the riverside ceremony.

Colourful lanterns, long banquet tables with fresh seasonal flowers, vintage plates, the photo booth, vodka bar, vespa bike, the yummy lolly buffet and the cute cupcake cake were all part of the fun wedding vibe at this cool urban warehouse home to Blue Sky Coffee.
The amazing photographer behind these fabulous shots was Rachel Thurston who came all the way from LA. http://www.rachelthurston.com/. The funky stationary was designed by one of Mel's bridemaids Rachel. rachlee80@optusnet.com.au.

Mel and Dave's wedding was so much fun. I wish I could do this wedding over and over again.
