One of my most favourite moments of setting up for a wedding is when the tables have been set, the flowers have been placed, early evening is falling creating the most romantic light and all the candles have just been lit. It is such a magical moment as everything is still but the room has such an energetic buzz about it waiting for the Bride + Groom to see the results of all their meticulous planning. With so much inspiration for table settings out there it can be quite overwhelming on where to start so today we thought we'd give you a few tips to help you find your tablescape style.
Charger plates are such a simple way to bring elegance and style to your table in a big way. They look fabulous in black, gold, silver or even clear. Layering a coloured charger with clear beaded top plates or with beautiful crisp white vintage plates really completes the look. They can be the emphasis of your table and a good way of tying your colour scheme together or even providing that splash of surprise to bring in a bit of depth to your trimmings.
If you are going to all this trouble with choosing the perfect linens, chargers and centrepieces why not complete the look with some unique cutlery and glassware. These two major elements to a table setting are totally overlooked and forgotten about when they should be as important as the florals adorning the table. If you are looking to find ways for your table styling to really stand out and have a defining look why not invest in hiring some vintage cutlery in either silver or gold with some gorgeously stylish fine stem glassware, bohemian goblets, brightly coloured turkish glassware or for the more modern brides stemless glassware. Following through with your chosen tablescape style to filter down into the cutlery and glassware will give the setting a more polished, balanced and harmonious feel.
So just remember when designing within a theme for you tablescape, stick to your vision as much as possible as it will keep your table setting super cohesive and well designed. Be creative as possible and have fun!
